چکیده

The latest transportation systems require the best routes in a large network with respect tomultiple objectives simultaneously to be calculated in a very short time. The label setting algorithm ofMartins efficiently finds this set of Pareto optimal paths, but sometimes tends to be slow, especially for large networks such as transportation networks. In this article we investigate a number of speedup measures, resulting in new algorithms. It is shown that the calculation time to find the Pareto optimal set can be reduced considerably. Moreover, it is mathematically proven that these algorithms still produce the Pareto optimal set of paths.

Martins' algorithm revisited for multi-objective shortest path problems with a MaxMin cost function

This paper presents a straight extension of the label setting algorithm proposed by Martins in 1985 for a shortest path problem with multiple objectives. This extended version computes all the efficient paths from a given source vertex, to all the other vertices of the network. The algorithm can cope with problems in which the “cost values” associated with the network arcs are all positive, and...

استفاده از الگوریتم ژنتیک در مسائل کوتاهترین مسیر چند معیاره بر پایه سیستمهای اطلاعات مکانی

Multi-criteria shortest path problems (MSPP) are called as NP-Hard. For MSPPs, a unique solution for optimizing all the criteria simultaneously will rarely exist in reality. Algorithmic and approximation schemes are available to solve these problems; however, the complexity of these approaches often prohibits their implementation on real-world applications. This paper describes the development ...

A decremental approach with the A⁄ algorithm for speeding-up the optimization process in dynamic shortest path problems

Dynamic (time-dependent) network routing has become important due to the deployment of advanced traveler information systems in navigation systems. We study the problem of speeding-up the shortest path in continuous-time dynamic networks without a priori knowledge of the link travel times. We apply the A⁄ algorithm using the decremental approach to reduce the network size and speed-up the optim...

A New Algorithm for the Discrete Shortest Path Problem in a Network Based on Ideal Fuzzy Sets

A shortest path problem is a practical issue in networks for real-world situations. This paper addresses the fuzzy shortest path (FSP) problem to obtain the best fuzzy path among fuzzy paths sets. For this purpose, a new efficient algorithm is introduced based on a new definition of ideal fuzzy sets (IFSs) in order to determine the fuzzy shortest path. Moreover, this algorithm is developed for ...

ALGORITHMS FOR BIOBJECTIVE SHORTEST PATH PROBLEMS IN FUZZY NETWORKS

We consider biobjective shortest path problems in networks with fuzzy arc lengths. Considering the available studies for single objective shortest path problems in fuzzy networks, using a distance function for comparison of fuzzy numbers, we propose three approaches for solving the biobjective prob- lems. The rst and second approaches are extensions of the labeling method to solve the sing...
